Ladjusted my eyes to the light on the ceiling. I was in the pack’s hospital. Looks like Ryker didn’t want me dead just yet. I gently got up from the bed, pulling the sheets off my body angrily. My entire badly ached in pain. It would take a while for me to heal, especially without Aurora here.

“You have the pack already. Why not just give Aurora back, and I promise to never show my face to you?” I offered, ignoring his question.

“Then why exactly are you doing this?” I questioned, my brows knitting in curiosity. To my best knowledge, he was responsible for Ariel’s disappearance.

“You think. I stuck up with your disgusting attitude all because of this stupid pack?” He sneered with fire in his eyes. “What I want is your life, Kaiden. He spat with venom, staring at me in disdain.

“Why don’t you take it then?” I snapped, daring him. “You shouldn’t have tended to my wounds if you wanted me dead so badly”

“If I kill you now, then it would have been unfair to you because you are weak. He stated smugly.

I chuckled weakly, staring at him in amusement. “If you do it now, then I would when the opportunity presents itself.” I warned with a pointed look.

Aurora wasn’t here. She was in Torrence pack.

“You gave her to them?” My eyes hardened on his face.

“Exactly, I realized you would never change and would only keep taking everyone I loved. So I started plotting to take over what you valued so much just as you took mind.” He bragged.
