I didn’t know where to start searching for Aurora from. Ryker has been ignoring my calls and texts for days now. I was working on a fucking blind scene and it was frustrating. I had gone to his parents place, but he was a fucking smart hastard. for taking them away before embarking on this fight. He must have been plotting this for a while now,

How had I not realized earlier? I was way too trusting, and convinced myself he was loyal to me, yet here I am. I should have expected this much after Derek’s death or was it after he defended Ariel! I was beginning to doubt Ariel had really been kidnapped. He must lie to make me feel sorry for him, while he plotted behind my back.

I exhaled, throwing my head back as my head swelled with several thoughts. I haven’t felt this bitter about anyone’s betrayal the way Ryker’s betrayal hit me. I shook the thoughts off my head, picking my phone and dialing his number again.

Surprisingly. The line connected, and it was silence for seconds before I heard the cold voice.“I was expecting your call”

I clenched my jaw. “Where is my mate!” I demanded in anger.

He didn’t responded, but the heavy breathing indicated he heard me. “Come to the pack house if you eager to find her.” He ordered after the silence. It was a trap but I couldn’t care less about it. Aurora was more important right now.

I grabbed my car keys from the table, and walked out the apartment.

The pack house was more guarded than it had been before. No, that wasn’t right. They seemed to be preparing for a war with the number of warriors mounted on the front walls. But that was the problem. I don’t remembering having this number of warriors in this pack. I shook my head, taking a step closer to the gate and 1 couldn’t miss the way they tightened their grip on their weapons on my arrival.

I brushed past him without waiting for his response. Considering how Ryker was eager to take over my position, he must be in the hall. That would where I’d be at this time.

The pack members shot me disdainful eyes as I passed through the hallway. It was almost laughable how they had changed so quickly. I was feared in the park and they could had made eye contact, but look at them acting so bold.

“Where’s Aurora?” I asked directly, I wasn’t here for his mind games.

“No chit chat.” He muttered, tapping his fingers on arms of the chair.

“Chit–chat!” My eyes reddened in anger, “You didn’t hold one with me before kidnapping Aurora 1 snapped angrily, taking a step closer to the podium.

“Neither did you when you took Ariel.” He retorted with an edge in his voice.

“I didn’t fucking take her!” I roared.

“Then who did?” He arched his brow in anger. He was going to keep playing the vicim here,

“You did!” I pointed at him, gritting my teeth in anger. That seemed to snap some! in him. He jolted from his throne, storming towards me with fury in his eyes.

I backed up quickly for an attack, but he had become stronger. He threw me to the wall with strength I didn’t know he possessed. Had he also hidden his strengths or wasn’t I too daft to notice?

1 chuckled bitterly, scrambling to my feet, but he pressed me to the walls, pointing his knife close to the veins on my neck.

“I’m not like you, Kaiden.” He said with a sinister look. “I don’t hurt people without reason”

“You killed her already right?” He deduced, slowly slicing into my skin. I groaned from the sting. “Just like how you killed Keira” He added, daring me to deny it

“I didn’t kill Keira.” I admitted honestly, but he chuckled clearly not believing my words,

“Keep denying it, Kaiden.” He remarked before I felt another pain on my arm, “I might just have to force the truth out of you” His eyes glimmered.

“I didn’t kill Keira. That old crook did.” I screamed angrily, holding my arm.

“You did it!” He wasn’t impossible to convince. He aimed for my neck again, but I dodged his attack, unsheathing my own dagger and stabbing into his legs

“I will fucking kill you.” He hissed in anger, slicing the knife down my stomach. My legs weakened as I fell to the floor. I tried to stand up, but he stabbed me on the back of my leg forcing me to stay down.

“I want you dead so bad. He laughed hysterically. Another stab. “But you are still important.”

“Don’t think I don’t know about your slow healing” He confessed shocking me.

“We all know.” He whispered, with another stab. My eyes blurred and my breathing turned hoarse with each passing minute. I can’t die here without firading Aurora,
