Chapter 11 11
I was stunned by Theo’s words, “I didn’t know you could be this disgusting.”
“Thea… please believe me, you are the only one I want as my wife.”
“I’ve already talked to Cecilia. She won’t bother you anymore. She’s just helping me with the company. I need a capable
assistant for work, and given your situation, I…”
“You want to have it both ways?”
“Thea, what’s wrong with a successful man having a close female friend? Besides, considering your situation, I really need
time to overcome it.”
“Haha… poor you.”
Who was it that once condemned his father for cheating on his mother? And now, when it’s his turn, he shows a different
face.
“Thea, there’s no need to speak to me like this out of spite.”
“Theo, I’m really not being spiteful. Let’s part on good terms. It’s over between us.
Theo still didn’t listen and continued, “Thea, given your situation, you can’t bear children for me. But I don’t mind that at
all because I truly love you. Cecilia can’t compare to you.”
“When the time comes, the child Cecilia and I have will be registered under your name, and you’ll be Mrs. Lewis in every
sense.”
I laughed mockingly, “You want me to raise someone else’s child? You are shameless and utterly disgusting.”
I hung up the phone immediately.
Theo’s words echoed in my mind, each one tearing apart the beautiful memories of the past.
How could he say it so matter–of–factly?
I would rather he had fallen out of love. But his shameless and self–righteous demeanor told me I had loved the wrong
person.
Turning around, I saw Rosalie holding a glass of milk, her expression dark.
I smiled sheepishly, only to be scolded.
“Smile, smile, smile… all you do is smile foolishly. He just said all that, and you didn’t even give him a piece of your mind?”
“But I did curse him.”
“Just calling him shameless and disgusting? Did you secretly take a class on being a doormat?”
Rosalie glared at me, frustrated by my lack of spirit.

Chapter 11 11
I clung to her arm, looking at her pitifully, “Rosalie…”
Rosalie sighed helplessly and pinched my cheek, “In a while, the beautician and masseuse will be here. Just stay home and
relax.”
“I’m not going anywhere.”
“Even if you’re not going out, take good care of yourself. In a few days, Jasper and I plan to host an event to introduce you. You’re the little princess of the Miller and Clark families. Make them regret it.”
“But…”
“You were blind to help Theo back then. Now you’ve lost the right to refuse.”
“Alright!”
After a session of massage, beauty treatment, and afternoon tea, I felt light and refreshed.
My tablet received an email from Theo.
The email seemed polite but was actually a veiled threat, asking to meet me.
I never expected Theo to use Mabel against me.
Mabel was a mutual friend of Theo and me, a nurse who took care of him during his recovery in the hospital.
Back then, I often asked Mabel for home care tips, and over time, I became familiar with this shy and meticulous girl.
She was one of the few friends I had in Mecpus. I never thought Theo would use her job to coerce me into meeting him in
person.
Given the situation, I decided to choose the location myself.
