Chapter 239
After the incident with Carole, Elliott kept sending apologetic messages. Quiana replied to a few but hadn’t paid much attention recently. Elliott thought she hadn’t forgiven him and continued sending cautious, placating messages.

Quiana sighed lightly and typed: [It’s all in the past. I don’t hold grudges against unimportant people. As for everything else, she is who she is, and you are who you are. I won’t take my anger out on you.]
Receiving the message. Elliott felt a mix of happiness and sadness. He felt much older than before. He replied: [In a few months. I’m planning to hold my last art exhibition and then retire. If possible, I’d like you to come.]
Quiana paused briefly before replying: [We’ll see.]
As she got ready and opened the door, she heard a series of loud noises.
“Left side, left side!” the man shouted. “At the bush! I’m gonna die. Help me! Jungler, are you sightseeing in the jungle?” Later, he scolded. They keep ganking me. I can’t do anything. What’s the big deal about trash–talking in the game? Come fight me in real life if you dare!”
Zack sat by the door with a chair, intensely playing a game on his phone. Hearing the sound at the door, he looked up and spotted Quiana. As if seeing a savior, he shouted into the mic, “Just you guys wait, I’ll get someone to handle you!”
Then, he ran over, pushing his phone into Quiana’s hands. “Quiana, hurry up. I’m about to lose!” He was desperate.
Quiana glanced at him and then looked at the game screen. Zack was playing as the Marksman. It had been 11 minutes since the game started, and his score read: [2/9/3.] His teammates were typing insults at him, using nasty words.
Quiana glanced at him sideways. Zack put his hands together, pleading, “Please, Quiana, it’s my promotion match. Help!”
Quiana scoffed lightly and took over. She swept through the jungle, farming aggressively and chaining her skills flawlessly. Ten minutes later, the enemy’s high ground was destroyed. The game announced her victory with the message: [Marksman’s final score: 15/9/8.]
“See that? My friend is awesome! She can take on ten of you by herself, pulling off a clutch in the final moments. A true queen of the game!” Zack boasted into the mic.
“Shut up.” Quiana felt like slapping him as he bragged endlessly.
“Why don’t you just live in the game if you’re so obsessed with it?” Julius said coldly, emerging from the room.
Zack pouted. “I was just bored while waiting.” He had been waiting for Quiana at the door and almost forgot his main task.
Julius ignored him and asked Quiana gently, “Did you sleep well?”
Quiana nodded and suddenly remembered something. She went back to the bedroom and returned a few seconds later with a worn–out sack.
Zack asked curiously, “What’s that?” –
“Medicine.” Quiana handed it to Julius. “Transfer eighteen million dollars to my account.” She had received 150 million dollars yesterday.
“What medicine?” Zack peered inside the sack. “Is it the blueflower grass?”
The medicines were all sorted into small disposable bags, each labeled with names and instructions. There were dozens of
them.
“Seriously?” Zack’s mouth twitched. “Quiana, these are the rare herbs worth a million dollars per pound you mentioned, and

you packed them in this old sack?”
Julius just raised an eyebrow.
When they arrived at the Hawley manor, Shane saw the burlap sack and had the same expression as Zack. “I think she’s scamming us.”
Quiana stayed calm and replied sincerely, “Don’t judge a book by its cover; medicine doesn’t need fancy packaging to be effective.”
Her words silenced them. But no matter how sincere she sounded, they sensed a hint of trickery. After all, being a trickster was her true nature.
Shane smelled the finely ground herbs but still hesitated. “Julius, this-”
“Just use it,” Julius interrupted calmly.
