Chapter 212
Quiana lowered her eyes, making her emotions indiscernible. She glanced at the record and picked up the guitar, strumming it. “We don’t have much time left. Let’s learn the song and choreograph the dance.”
“All right. Let’s stop worrying and trust Quiana!” Wendy beckoned the others over and distributed the lines.

“Do you think Quiana can make it to the end?” someone asked.
“I doubt it,” another replied.
Alex and Jocelyn, who had visited each training room, whispered after checking on Quiana and her team.
The talent show was all about popularity. Even though one’s performance received a high number of votes, according to the rules, that person still needed more than 5,000,000 votes from the public to reach the finals.
That would be akin to asking for the moon for Quiana, who had many haters.
“Honestly, I think it’s fine if she doesn’t make it to the end,” Eric commented as he exited the adjacent training room.
From their initial dissatisfaction and misunderstanding toward Quiana, the mentors had now been ultimately won over. They thought choosing her for a girl group would waste her talent.
“That depends on how eager she is then. Who knows, maybe a miracle will happen,” said Ryan as he joined them. His eyes sparkled as he looked at Quiana sitting in the corner.
He believed when it came to popularity, she would definitely win if she were eager for it.

The next day, after having lunch, Quiana returned to her dorm and saw a notification on her phone, which she had placed under her pillow.
She unlocked it and read the message: [Divine Alliance has a beef with Julius Hawley from Janivielle. After being rejected several times, Julius finally got hold of our information through Gale Sentinel of Underground Alliance and offered 1 billion dollars for The Seraphic’s help.]
Quiana had quietly checked Julius‘ pulse last time. Besides sickness caused by innate deficiencies, the medications he had taken over the years had also taken a toll on his health–his organs were starting to deteriorate.
However, there was also a strange energy within him. She could not determine what it was due to lack of time. The amount of time it took for her to do a pulse check was too short.
After giving it a thought, Quiana replied: [Another two months.]
Quiana bumped into Ryan on her way back to the training room.
Ryan, who had fluffy blonde hair, looked cheerful and handsome in his white shirt. His eyes lit up at the sight of Quiana. He had not had a chance to talk to her alone for over two weeks.
Seeing no one around, he walked over and greeted with a smile, “Ms. Levine.”
Quiana glanced at him. “What are you doing here?”
Ryan chuckled. “You’re here. How can I not join?”

He had always focused on music and never joined reality shows. However, this time, he joined the talent show as a mentor because he heard Quiana would be there.
There were some things Ryan could not understand, though. He leaned over and whispered, “Ms. Levine, why would you suddenly decide to join such a talent show?”
“For my dream- Quiana replied.
“Don’t try to fool me!” Ryan could tell what she was about to say and quickly interrupted her.
To him, whether it was her dream or an invitation from the crew, Quiana could have already become a worldwide superstar by now if she was eager to.
Quiana sighed. “For the fans, manager, and the company.”
Ryan thought Quiana was only trying to brush him off with different excuses.
“Fine.” Ryan did not believe her. As a thought flashed across his mind, he asked anticipatedly, “Ms. Levine, I’ll be releasing a new song in a few months. Since you’re back in the entertainment industry, could you be the lead in my music video?”
Quiana swept her gaze across the corridor and narrowed her eyes at the corner not far ahead before answering indifferently, “Let’s talk about it later.”
At the corner, Lily stood close to the wall, holding her breath. Only when the corridor fell into silence did she poke her head
OUL.
The training camp didn’t have internet or a signal, but taking pictures with a phone didn’t require a connection. Her eyes flickered at the picture of Ryan and Quiana standing closely together on her phone. She put the phone away, took a deep breath to recompose herself, and left.
