Quiana and Hugo were walking on a long stretch of road. Quiana’s eyes sparkled with confidence, hands in her pockets. She had this laid–back vibe going on, but there was a spark of rebellion in her step.
Trailing behind her was Hugo, toting a cat carrier, looking pretty sharp himself. Hugo, with his eagle eyes, gave Quiana’s sleeve a gentle tug and whispered, “Quiana, that’s Julius.”
Quiana spotted Julius too, raised an eyebrow, and clicked her tongue. “That guy doesn’t look like a pushover.”
Hugo sneered, “No matter how tricky, isn’t he still your lab rat?”
Quiana didn’t reply as she knew Julius didn’t take the pill at all.
“Hey, Mrs. Hawley!” Zack swung open the car door, waving at Quiana with a playful grin.
Nolan popped his head out too, leaning on the car window with a cheeky smile. “Quiana.”
Quiana was speechless.
Julius appeared, pushing a wheelchair. In the car’s dim light, his striking face was breathtaking but had a gloomy air. Despite looking frail, he had this noble aura, strong and commanding, nothing ordinary about him.
His eyes were intense and deep, adding a touch of danger with a tear mole that gave off a creepy vibe.
Julius looked at Quiana. “Where to? I’ll drive you.” It was a statement, not a question.
Quiana replied casually, “No need.”
Julius glanced at his legs, his gaze darkening, as he spoke calmly, “It’s only right to drive my fiancée.”
Nolan and Zack whipped their heads around, and even Leo stared at Julius like he was a ghost.
Nolan thought, ‘He did say that he would never marry Quiana, didn’t he?‘
Zack thought, ‘He did say that if I called Quiana Mrs. Hawley once again, he would let me shut up forever, didn’t he?‘
Leo thought, ‘How could Mr. Hawley say something like that?‘
Julius, as if nothing happened, looked at Quiana with a blank face. “Get in the car.”
A chill flickered in Quiana’s eyes.
“Quiana.” Hugo tugged on her sleeve, his big eyes full of excitement. “I’ve never been in a Maybach before.”
Zack’s eyes lit up as he eagerly pulled Hugo towards the car. “Come on, you can try it out now!”
With a confident tone, Zack said, “The Hawley family’s young master is your future brother–in–law. Forget about the Maybach. If Quiana wants, you’ll ride in every luxury car in the world.”
The car was spacious, even had a mini fridge and all sorts of gadgets. Hugo put the everything with wild excitement.

Quiana was usually frugal; when they went out, it was always by taxi or a quick dash. This was truly Hugo’s first time in a Maybach.
“Hey, Mrs. Hawley, come in,” Zack called from the door, striking a pose at the unmoving Quiana.

Julius was still sitting still.
Quiana barely lifted her eyelids, meeting Julius’s intense gaze. She raised an eyebrow and politely said, “He lives in the slums, thanks,” and then she turned without a second’s hesitation, got into a cab, and vanished from their sight.
Her movement caught everyone off guard.
Julius’s eyebrows furrowed slightly as his gaze fixed on Hugo in the car, who was looking around curiously.
“Hey,” Nolan snapped back to reality and reminded Hugo, “Quiana left.”
Hugo replied, “I saw it.”

Hugo admired the decoration inside the car, thinking, “The car has top–notch shock absorption and bulletproof windows, all upgraded with high–tech. Wow, this rich guy is loaded! No wonder he bought the pill without blinking his eyes.
Nolan repeated slowly, “Quiana just left you!”
“I’m not deaf.” Hugo glanced at Nolan, settling into the empty seat and fastening his seatbelt. Holding the cat carrier, he looked at Julius obediently and said, “I live in the slums, thanks.”
There was a brief silence. Zack was the first to react, thinking, “They tw
are seriously treating us like a taxi service?
‘Using Julius’s car as a taxi–it’s honestly the first time anyone’s dared to do that! What kind of oddballs are these siblings?‘
Everyone in the car, except Julius, was stunned.
