Bryson scanned his legs before quickly averting his gaze. He raised the box in his hand. “I’m here to deliver medicine to Quiana
“Give it to me!” A nurse hurried over as soon as she heard that. “Quiana said someone was bringing medicine for her, and I’m supposed to take it in.”
Bryson nodded and opened the box, pulling out a smaller white box. “It needs to go through the disinfection channel again.”
The nurse quickly nodded, taking the box and rushing it into the emergency room.
Bryson didn’t hurry to leave. Instead, he sat down on the chair in the hallway. The men accompanying him stood nearby. The heavy weapons they carried–ones most people would never even lay eyes on–instilled a quiet unease. No one dared to say anything to them.
