One Week Later
Lily POV
“Are you excited about visiting your pack today” Jasmine asks. I smile as she rubs her hands
over her small bump. “I am. I haven’t seen my sister and brothers in months. Judith, who is
technically my aunt even though she is younger, is around the same age as my sister Abigale
and brother Jameson. They are best friends and I can’t wait to tell give them the necklaces I
got them.
Jameson and Abigale are twins. Jameson was born first, so he will be the one that takes over
as Alpha when he comes of age. My youngest brother Charlie looks like a mini version of my
dad but he has my mom’s personality.” “I’m sure they are excited to see you and meet Drake”
she says.
“Please, wait till they find out that Liam has a mate, pups, and more on the way. They will
want to visit you all the time. They consider Liam their uncle. Family is really important in the
pack and, despite Liam not being our blood, he is family. So be prepared to be an auntie to a
lot of pups.” She smiles and I finish pulling on my converse. I decided to dress comfortably in
jeans and a retro t–shirt.
A knock on the door interrupts us and my handsome mate steps into the room. “How are two of my favorite people? Are you both ready for our trip to the wolf pack?” Jasmine stands and presses a kiss on Drake’s cheek. “I feel good, thank the goddess. I was so sick with the twins last time, but this pregnancy so far has been a piece of cake. Diane and Daniel are excited to see more “really big wolves” and I can’t wait to meet the rest of Lily’s family.” He kisses her cheek, and she heads out to join everyone else.
I stand and Drake pulls me into his arms. “How about you, my queen? Are you ready to show me where you grew up and introduce me to the rest of your family,” Drake asks. “I am. Everyone is really excited about meeting you. Are you sure everything will be alright here if w go for a few days?” “I am positive. Samuel and Myra will have everything under control. Besides, Samuel knows to call me if there are any emergencies,” he says, before pressing a
kiss on my lips.
Drake takes my hand and leads me out of our wing and down the stairs that lead to the foyer. “Colton, Arina, Liam, Jasmine, and the twins are all waiting with their bags. “Do you want to do
the honors, my love,” Drake asks and I nod. I picture the clearing that lies up the path from the

pack house and wave my hand in front of me.
A red portal appears and I step through first with Drake’s hand in mine. I hear a few gasps and notice pups with wide eyes staring in our direction. Once everyone is through, the portal closes. The pups take off like their a**es are on fire, which makes me giggle. As we make our
way toward the pack house, several wolves appear in front of us.
I realize quickly that one of the wolves is Grant. I side eye Colton, and he has a knowing smirk
on his face. Grant shifts and Jasmine quickly covers the twins‘ eyes. Colton growls before he
throws him a pair of shorts. As soon as he realizes who we are he smiles. “You scared the hell
out of the pups. Welcome home, Alpha,” he says.
I don’t correct him because making the announcement of his successor is up to my father as
the outgoing Alpha. “Thank you, Grant.” A strong arm wraps around my waist and I smile.
Drake may not be a wolf, but he is just as possessive of me as I am of him. “Grant, this is my
mate Drake, Jasmine, who is Liam’s mate, and Arina, who is Colton’s mate,” I say as I point to
each one.
“Welcome to the Blue Crescent Pack” he says. After we finish introductions, we walk down the
path that leads to the back door of the pack house. When we step inside the foyer, everyone is
heading toward the dining room for lunch. I’m sure that my parents are already at the Alpha
table waiting for us.
I lead our group inside the dining room and chatter fills the room as wolves I’ve known my
whole life look at our guests. I’m sure some of them have never seen elves in real life. “Colty,
your back” says a sickly sweet voice, I could have lived the rest of my life without hearing. Oh, I’m going to enjoy this. I watch as Camille works her way through the tables in Colton’s
direction.
Before she can reach Colton, he growls stopping her in her tracks. “Colty, why are you growling
at me? I’ve missed you. I know you’ve missed me” she says. “Colton, who is this woman and I
use that term loosely,” Arina asks. I can’t help but laugh again.
Camille turns toward me and smirks. “I didn’t expect you to show your face so soon after losing your mate to me, pack princess” she says. Several growls sound from around me and I know one of them is my father by the power behind it.
“I can see you are still a thirsty b**ch Camille wanting what isn’t yours. In case you haven’t noticed Colton has a mate and she doesn’t seem to like you already. In fact, if I were you l
would crawl back under whatever warrior you’ve been f**king since Colton has been gone.” “You b**ch, you think your so special because you are the next Alpha, but really you’re

pathetic. Even your mate didn’t want you,” she says.
I can feel the anger rolling off Drake. I notice the flicker of a purple glow from his fingertips. I thread his fingers with mine, which seems to calm the torrent of anger flowing through our bond. “Her words can’t hurt me,” I say through our link. I look at my father, who has joined the
group, and he nods, giving me permission to announce myself. “Actually, I won’t be the next
Alpha of the Blue Crescent pack. My brother Jameson will be Alpha when my father is ready to pass him the title.”
She throws her head back and laughs. “That’s perfect because you aren’t worthy of being the
Alpha.” “How dare you speak to my queen like that you vile b**ch” Arina says, moving to stand
in front of Camille. “Queen” Camille says like the word is bitter on her tongue.
“Yes, she is the Queen of the Elven Kingdom. The man standing next to her is my cousin and
her king. I suggest if you want to keep your tongue in your mouth, you do not say another word
against her. As for my beloved, if you even think of touching him, I will rip you apart,” Arina
says.
Camille’s eyes move from me to Colton and then back to me. “She can’t be queen.” “Oh, I can
and I am. You on the other hand are nothing. You rejected your own mate instead of treasurin
him, but don’t worry, he’ll find his second chance, but you won’t.“You can’t know that. No one
knows that” Camille says. “I am the goddess chosen, the Red Wolf. I am more powerful than
you could imagine.“”
Fear flashes in her eyes as she turns back to Arina, who looks like she wants to kill Camille. I
believe Arina has realized that she is the one that Colton betrayed me with. “Is she the one my
queen,” her voice laced with anger. Her anger is palpable. “She is the wh*re that interfered in
my bond,” I say. As soon as the words leave my mouth, Camille is again on her a** holding her
jaw. “That was for my queen,” Arina says before she goes back to stand by Colton’s side. I can
see the worry in his eyes as he reaches for her.
He pulls her into his arms and buries his head in her neck. I’m glad she doesn’t fight him. Her
body seems to relax into his touch. “I love you Arina, only you” Colton says. “Colty,” she starts
to say, but this time it’s Colton that growls. He whirls on her but doesn’t release Arina. “Don’t say my name. You are nothing to me. You are a self–centered evil b**ch who I repeatedly allowed to hurt my best friend. I was wrong for allowing my own insecurities to give you
power, but that will never happen again.”
He points to me first. “That woman is my best friend. I will defend her with everything I have in
- me. This woman who is standing by my side is the other half of my soul. You can’t compare. She is everything to me and you are nothing. Do not talk to me or either of these women again

or I won’t wait for the alpha’s orders to end you,” he says.
She looks like he just slapped her. Two guards step through the crowd and grab Camille by her
arms. My father steps into the circle that has been formed by the pack members. He faces a thrashing Camille. “I warned you what would happen if you tried to hurt my pup or Colton
again. Take her to the cells.” “You can’t do this. I didn’t do anything technically. Please just banish me,” she pleads. As they drag her away, all I can think is best visit ever.
