Chapter Seventy
Tovi’s POV
I was exhausted from giving birth to my daughter, so I took my daughter from Nana and
wished everyone a good night. I took her to our room, placing her in the bassinet next to the
bed. I made sure that there were enough diapers and wipes for the night and got ready for bed.
I crawled into bed and Greg crawled in after I did, turning off the light on the bedside table. I
snuggled up to Greg, happy to be in his arms and that our daughter was finally here. My life is
now complete.
Six weeks later
Piper has been growing like a weed. She is up to eighteen pounds and twenty–five inches long
now. She enjoys sitting with me while I do my duties and the pup goes crazy over her when I
take her downstairs for dinner. She enjoys the attention of everyone and lets us know when
she wants to be the center of attention. Piper looks more like me, with my chestnut auburn
hair and facial features, but she has Greg’s blue eyes and smile. She is becoming more like
daddy’s girl and has him wrapped around her finger. Every night when we are together, she is
fussy until he puts her in his arms, and then she is content for the rest of the night unless she
has to eat. Greg even takes her to his office once in a while, especially when he doesn’t have
much to do.
Jack and Elizabeth found out that they were expecting a pup two weeks ago. A wolf–witch hybrid. Piper will have a friend to grow up with. Other she wolves bring their babies to the
packhouse, so their pups and Piper have positive interaction with others their age.
It snowed here two weeks after Piper was born. It was fun to go out and play in the snow and
sled down the hills. Nana watched Piper while I went outside to play with the pups. She can
link with me now since she became a member of the pack. She didn’t want to leave her great–granddaughter. It has been snowing here in the mountains on and off for the last four weeks. I am hoping that it will be a decent day so we can catch the attack in time and stop
the attack before it reaches the people.
My training with the witches continued a couple of days after having Piper. Teleporting uses
up a lot of my energy, but I have been staying close to home with my teleporting, not going to
Blood Stone or any other place yet. I know that I have the speed and fire ability and force field, but I wonder what else I have yet to unlock. Sienna and the other witches are impressed with
my progress and believe that I will be able to take on the rogues here in a few weeks.

Greg’s POV
I have gotten reports from Mac about the activities of the rogue compound. Paul figured out
that the rogues from Wyoming were either getting killed or enticed by a better life in our pack.
So, he hired buses and had the rest of the rogues brought to the compound. At least we tried.
We have been receiving warriors from other packs, but we have been doing it quietly by having
them arrive by SUV in their wolf form, so we could get more into the pack than having them in
their human form. We also have been using box trucks, too, to make it look like we are getting
deliveries, but we are getting warriors into the pack. Pete sent one thousand, Carter and
Jacoby sent fifteen hundred between them, and with the other packs that I had treaties with, I
received two thousand more from several more packs. The wall is complete, with cameras and sensors installed. We built towers to have sharpshooters in them, to take out any rogues
when they came onto the packland. My warriors have become efficient with the weapons that
I bought, and we have stocked up with ammunition to last through several battles.
The pack continued to keep training and the Omegas had become successfully better fighters.
The rogues we intercepted from traveling to Paul’s compound are thriving and doing well.
They have even gotten involved with the training and protection of their new home. I will be
holding a ceremony in a week to make them official members. Our new apartment building
that we just built is already full because of the soon–to–be new members and I have approved
two more to be built. After this battle, I will have the crews start building new homes for the
families that moved here. I will have to buy some more land here soon.
The two rogues that we captured a few months ago, Donnie and Brett, have proved their
loyalty to the pack and have been training aggressively with the Deltas. Donnie used to be a
Delta in his previous pack and Brett was a head trainer and warrior. So, the pack has benefited
from having two excellent warriors join the pack. Mathew, my head Delta, and his brothers are
impressed with both of them and have asked me to promote them both to Deltas. He wants
them both on his team. Donnie receives word from his sister, Paige, daily and she and the
children are thriving in Carter’s pack and will be here after the attack.
I was sitting in my office, going over some paperwork while Piper took a nap in the small crib I had set up for her. My phone rings and it is Mac.
“Any news, Mac?” I asked him.
“Boss, Paul is planning to attack in a week, at night. He wants to do a surprise attack and get
you and the pack off guard. I will have a team of thirty rogues that, I am surprised by them,
want to bring Paul down and destroy his plans. They want to become members of the pack
and have a normal life. A few of them have families and want to place them in a stable place,

instead of moving from place to place,” he told me over the phone. Good, even some of his
rogues are starting to turn on them.
“Mac, tell your team to come to the north gate and my guards will let them in. I will make
them members of the pack right before the attack. Send a couple at a time and I will tell my
guards to let them in. The password is Piper. Tell them that. That way they are safe in the
attack.”
“Yes, boss. I will tell them right away. But why the north gate?” he asked.
“There are no spies that way. They are mainly staying close to our main gates, the west and
south. Any spies that do make it to the north gates end up dead or new members.”
“I will inform my team.” He ended the call. The attack will happen in a week, most likely during the ceremony to welcome the new members. I need to do this today.
“Jack, Jason, you two and the warriors get all the rogues together so I can initiate them into
the pack today. I just got word from Mac that Paul will be attacking in a week. Nana, could
you please come and get Piper? She is taking a nap in my office right now.”
“We are on it, cuz,” Jack answered me. Nana showed up at my office a few minutes later and
took Piper upstairs.
“Tovi, I need you in the backyard. We need to get the rogues into the pack right now. Paul will
be attacking in a week.”
“I will be there in ten minutes. I am in the middle of pumping.” It is great that Tovi is still able to nurse our daughter, and it is showing on Piper. She has gained six pounds and two inches.
I grabbed the ceremonial knife and went outside to meet all the rogues. Tovi joined me several minutes later. After a while, Jack, Jason, and the warriors arrived with all the rogues. There were seven hundred of them. This will take a bit. We spent the next four hours getting the rogues to become members of the pack. By the time we were done, we were both cold and
tired.
We went back up to our suite with Mrs. Cullens met us at the door with a bowl of chicken noodle soup and some sandwiches to eat for dinner. Walking into the suite, we find Nana and Piper on the floor playing. Piper was giggling, kicking, and moving her arms around like a happy baby. I placed the floor on the island and went to pick up my baby girl. She was so happy to see me and squealed when she saw my face. I gave her kisses on her cheek and then held her up on my shoulder, so she could see what was going on around her. Tovi made our plates and I placed Piper in her bouncy chair so we could eat.

When we were done, Tovi took Piper and nursed her. I did the dishes and put away any
leftovers. Nana went and got her book, sitting down in the chair to read. After Piper was done nursing and was burped, Tovi took her into the bathroom to bathe her and get her ready for bed. I went into the nursery, picked up the book I had been reading to her, and waited patiently for Tovi to come into the nursery. I placed her in the crib and walked out of the room, making sure that the monitor and camera were turned on.
