Chapter Fifty–Nine
Tovi’s POV
I woke up at eleven, drooling over Angelica’s shoulder. I cannot believe that we slept in this
late! I have a lot to do in the office and meet with Mrs. Cullens for the menu for next week. I
jumped up, and my body screamed from sleeping in an odd position on the couch with Angelica and Georgia. Nana was standing at the island, making some lunch for us.
“Why didn’t anyone wake us up? Where is Greg? Have you gotten any sleep?” I asked Nana,
panicking a bit.
“All three of you were up late, so you needed some sleep. Greg is down in his office,
collaborating with his teams and Sienna to rescue the children of the rogues that were
arrested. Four of them were forced to do this as distractions as the other two were going to try
and kidnap you. And the answer to your final question: no, I haven’t gotten any sleep after the
attack. I have been up since the three of you fell asleep, watching over all of you and making
sure that no one gets at my granddaughter and her friends. Now, you go get yourself cleaned
up and get dressed. I asked Moneo and Henry to bring their mates some clothes so that when
they wake up, they can get dressed in the spare bedroom.” She said all this while making
chicken Caesar salad. I nodded my head and went into the bedroom, jumped in the shower,
brushed my teeth, put my hair up in a messy bun, slipped on a crew–neck layered long–sleeved
dress, and slipped on some Hey Dudes Wendy Slip Mules and walked out to the kitchen.
Nana had the salad ready, so I grabbed a bowl, along with a glass of orange juice, and sat
down on the island to eat. There was a knock on the door and Nana answered it. It was
Sienna and Elizabeth.
“Tovi, I figured that you had just got up. I came by to let you know that with the events that
happened last night, there will be no training today. You need to get some rest and take care
of yourself today. Deidre is taking care of everything in your office today. And do not get mad
at her. Your mate asked her to take care of the menu and some paperwork. He is also sending
the massage therapist up from the spa to take care of you, your friends, and Nana here. I
thought I would stop by and let you know.” She bowed her head and was getting ready to head
out.
“Wait, Sienna, why don’t the two of you stay for lunch?”
“Thank you, Tovi, but we already ate. We will see you tomorrow for training,” and she walked
out the door.

I am happy that there is no training. My mind and body are not up to it today, especially after last night. My body was achy from sleeping on the couch, and I have been stressed out since
last night. The baby has been moving and kicking since I got up.
“Damn it! Where the hell am I? Why the hell is my shoulder soaking wet?” Angelina woke up
cussing. I laughed, grabbed her a cup of coffee, and handed it to her.
“We all fell asleep on the couch last night. I accidentally drooled on your shoulder, which is
why it is wet. Moneo brought you some stuff, and it is in a bag in the first guest room if you
want to get a shower and get dressed. Greg is arranging a spa day for us here in the suite. He
thought we all needed some pampering. Nana made some Caesar salad. So, go shower and
eat. I will get Georgia up.”
“No need to get me up. I am up,” Georgia groaned, stretching on the couch, and pulling the
blanket off her.
“Henry brought your stuff here. Like I told Angelica, go get a shower, dress, eat this salad
Nana made for us, and be ready for an afternoon of pampering arranged by my wonderful
mate. Your stuff is in the second guest bedroom.”
Georgia and Angelica went to get dressed and came out to eat. Around one, the staff from the
spa showed up, and we enjoyed the afternoon of being pampered. It was relaxing and helped
with my achy muscles from sleeping on the couch.
The girls left at about four and Nana looked exhausted.
“Nana, why don’t you go lie down and get some sleep? I will make dinner and I will wake you
up when it is done.” She nodded her head and went to her room. I pulled some steaks out of the freezer, placing them in some hot water to thaw out. I found some fresh asparagus and potatoes, diced the potatoes, and placed them in the oven. I put the asparagus in the pan with olive oil and seasoned it with salt, garlic powder, and freshly ground pepper. I placed the steaks in a hot pan, cooking them until they were medium rare. By the time everything was done, Greg walked through the door.
“Hi baby, thank you for the spa day. It was very relaxing and helped with the achy muscles that I had. Dinner is ready, and I am going to get Nana up so we can eat.” I kissed him and went to Nana’s room, waking her up for dinner. Dinner was delicious and for dessert, we had Nana’s cookies. Greg cleaned up the kitchen, and we relaxed on the couch, watching TV.
Both of us were tired from the night before, so we went to bed early. I knew that Greg wanted to make love to me, but we were exhausted. We took a quick shower and laid down in bed. I snuggled up to Greg and I was fast asleep.

Chapter Fifty–Nine Greg’s POV
I was so happy to come home and find that my mate had made dinner. It was good, and the
evening was relaxing. We were all tired and I wanted to get some sleep. Deacon wanted to
stay up and protect our mate, but I was too exhausted. I increased the security around the
packhouse, so there would not be a repeat of last night.
I was waiting for my teams to get back to me about Paige and Sam’s children. They were
found at a small house in a lower–class neighborhood. There were a couple of rogues there to
watch the children. The teams were waiting until dark to get the children.
I called Carter and he said that he would take the rogue’s in until after the attack, and then
they would be brought back. Paige’s brother, Donny, and Sam’s mate and husband, Brett,
wanted to stay and help defeat Paul. I told them that I would discuss it with my Beta and
Gamma and let them know. The other two rogues were with them and refused to talk, telling
us that we were going to lose everything and laughing at us. They were executed this
afternoon after Sienna read their minds. The attack is still on schedule and we were happy
that nothing had changed.
My team tailing Paul, told me that he had returned to Sacramento and that there were three
truckloads of lumber having arrived at the compound. We need to figure out a way to slow
them down, so the rogues become weak and reduce their numbers.
Wait, reduce their numbers. We could attack them as they were going to the compound
because I knew that they would travel in small numbers, not alerting the humans or the
werewolf counsel that they were planning something big. But the council already knows of their plans. Mac will have to get the schedule of the arrivals and we can get them in Nevada. I
have treaties with some big packs in northern Nevada, to see if they could help out by killing the rogues from Wyoming. I could also set up teams around the compound to get the ones that slipped past. Why didn’t I think of this before? I will set up the schedule so we can send
teams.
I got up at four the next morning and couldn’t sleep much. The idea that I came up with got me all excited. I got Jack and Jason up, telling them to meet me in my office, get my plan into
the works, and slow Paul down with his planning. I also wanted to ramp up my plans with the protection of the pack. We are already building a wall, increasing cameras and sensors around the perimeter of the pack, and increasing training for the warriors and pack members. I’d say that we are more prepared than Paul is.
I met the guys in my office, looking groggy and tired.

“This had better be good, cuz, or else I am going back to bed,” Jack grumbled, taking a sip out
of his coffee.
“Yeah, boss, what is this all about? We didn’t get much sleep the night before and I am
exhausted from only a couple of hours of sleep,” Jason growled, sitting on the couch, and
crossing his arms in front of him.
I chuckled at both of them, sitting down at my desk. “I came up with a plan to slow Paul down.
We kill any rogues that are going to Paul’s compound. Stop the numbers from growing. Maybe
even convince some to join us, offering a better life than what they have now, what they would
be walking into. That would slow his numbers from growing. I want to send word to the
rogues in Wyoming that if they join us, they will no longer be hunted.”
“Sounds like a good idea. But how can we convince these rogues to join us when they have it
pretty decent there in Wyoming?” Jack asked.
“From the reports I am getting, the rogue Alpha is sending his band from the mine, not from
the ranch. The ones that don’t have a home. If we can intercept those leaving the mine, we
have a good chance of defeating Paul.”
