Chapter Fifty–Eight
Greg’s POV
These rogues are starting to get bold. Showing up on our land in the middle of the night and then trying to attack my Luna and mate. Travis and Darren find a dart gun with several darts loaded with wolfsbane and a tranquilizer, as if they were going to kidnap Tovi. My mate and unborn pup’s safety is in danger, and I am feeling helpless because they broke into my home
to cause harm.
Deacon ran back to the prison, so I could start the interrogation of the prisoners that we caught in the backyard and my room. There were six of them; two she wolves and four male wolves. I shifted when I got to the prison and one of the guards handed me a pair of shorts and a T–shirt. I got dressed and walked into a room next to the interrogation room. One of the she wolves was in the interrogation room. On the other side of the interrogation room was the torture room, where she could watch as one of the rogues she was with being tortured and would break her into telling us everything. Sienna came into the room with me to see if she
was telling the truth.
“Greg, how is Tovi and the pup?” she asked, walking in and squeezing my arm.
“She is fine. She caught all of them, even when she was under attack by two of them in our bedroom. She is having a girls‘ night in with Angelica and Georgia, with her Nana making
cookies for them.”
“That is good. She needs to have loved ones around her to keep her calm and centered. I will stop by when we are done here.” I nodded my head, happy that Tovi has the support that she needs, especially right now with this attack on her. We watched as Darren walked into the interrogation room with the rogue, with another rogue in the torture room. He walked around the room, looking at her in the eyes until she submitted.
“Now, you have two choices to make here. Either you tell us everything and no one will get hurt. Or you could be difficult and all your friends end up getting hurt very badly. I have already heard this one asking your other friends about you, wondering if you were ok. Is he a friend or is he your mate?” Darren asked her, stopping in front of the rogue, leaning over the table. The guard in the torture room grabbed a whip and hit her friend across the back several times, making the male wolf scream. Tears were forming in her eyes and she was biting her lower lip like she was trying to prevent herself from saying something. The guard whipped the wolf in
the other room several more times before the she wolf finally broke, crying, asking Darren to
stop the torment of her brother.

Chapter Fifty–Eight
“Please stop! We are only doing what we were told to do. They have my children and if I fail,
they will kill my children! We were told to bring the Luna to the warehouse in the city, so they
could torture her and kill her and the unborn pup!” The she wolf said hysterically, tears running
down her face. “They threaten Sam and Brett’s children as well. The other two were sent with
us to make sure that the job was done correctly. Please, will you help us get our pups back
before they are harmed?”
I looked at Sienna to see if she was telling the truth. “Sienna, what do you think? Is she telling
the truth? Are there children in harm’s way?”
“Yes, Greg, she is telling the truth. She and the other rogues‘ children are in danger. If you want
to help them, I know where they are.” I told Darren and the guard that it was enough, and I
linked the doctor to come to the prison to treat the rogue. Sienna told me of the location
where the children were and what they looked like, and I sent a couple of teams to get them. I
went and walked into the interrogation room with the she wolf.
“I am Alpha Greg Salyers and I lead this pack. What is your name?” She trembled, afraid that I
would hurt her. “It is ok, I will not harm you or your brother. I want to help, but you have to help
- me. Who has your children and who planned this attack?” She fidgeted with her hands,
thinking about her answer.
“My name is Paige Sommers, and I am originally from the Silver Moon Pack in South Dakota. I was banished from my pack because my mate attacked and raped the Luna there. He was
killed, and we were kicked out because of his actions. My brother was the Delta there and left
to protect us. We came to Sacramento a year ago, where my brother got a job working in
construction. We needed money, as the money my mate had saved up for us was running out.
I have three children, ages ten, seven, and six. My brother came into a couple of rogues while
working construction. They told him about the rogue pack in the city, so he checked it out.
Ronnie and Charlie immediately got a liking to him, hiring him to work security at their club,
making a lot more money than he did at his construction job. A week ago, Ronnie showed up
at our apartment with several of his men, taking my children, and told us that the only way we
would see the children alive was if we kidnapped the Luna here. We only did this to get my
children back alive and well. After this, we were going to leave and go to the East Coast to get away from Ronnie and Charlie. But with this new leader the pack has, Paul, he is hell–bent on taking over this pack and killing you, Luna, and any high–ranking member of the pack. I am sorry that we came here but my brother and I only did it to get my children back.” She was crying, only doing this to protect her children. I pinched the bridge of my nose, in disbelief that
Paul was stooping this low to take revenge on Tovi for something that she had nothing to do
with.

“Like I said, I know where your children are. I have witches here that can sense that you are telling us the truth. I will give you, your children, brother, and two friends refuge as long as all of you are cooperative with us. You will have a safe place to raise your family here and my pack knows better than to give any of you any trouble, as you have seen the errors of your ways. All I ask is your help with the rogues, what their weaknesses are, and where we can hit them to weaken them.” She nodded and started to cry, knowing that she and her family were
safe.
“What about the two men that were sent with us? They were the ones that attacked your Luna. Do not trust them. They are evil, and they have threatened us on our way here. Sam and Brett are mates, and they have two children together, five and three. Could you help them, too,
please?”
“I will help them, too. They were forced to do this and their children are being threatened. They will be given refuge here, too. For right now, I will place the four of you in protective custody and as soon as your children are returned to you, I will send you to a pack in Oregon until this is over. Then, you will return after the attack. I want all of you safe, but I cannot want any information leaked out to the rogues until after the fact. I know that you will be well treated at McLoughlin Mountain Pack and Carter will make sure that all of you will be comfortable. Please, do not make me regret this.” I turned to walk away.
“Thank you, Alpha. I will make sure that the four of us will help out in any way. I want them to pay for threatening my and Sam’s children.” She told me before I walked out. I linked Moneo and Henry, to meet me in my office. When I got back to the packhouse, they were waiting for
- me.
“Alpha, what can we do for you?” Henry asked me.
“I want you two to arrange a transport to Carter’s pack. I need to move these four rogues as soon as the children are found and brought here. I will call Carter about my plan and I know that he will take them in and care for them until the battle is over and Paul is dead.” They both
nodded their heads and walked out of my office.
It was six in the morning by the time I got back to our suite. Tovi, Georgia, and Angelica were all asleep on the couch, cuddled up to each other. I couldn’t make myself move Tovi, but she looked a bit uncomfortable sleeping, leaning against Angelica and her legs over the top of Georgia, Nana walked into the kitchen, starting the coffee.
“Good morning, Nana. I am sorry about last night. Did you get any sleep after I left?”
She scoffed and looked at the girls. “They were up until an hour ago. I made some fresh

cookies for them and sat up with them, watching movies and comforting Tovi. I watched over my granddaughter and her friends while you were getting answers about this attack. I want this to be over soon, as it is starting to get to her. I can see that the stress is also getting to you, too. May I suggest that the two of you take a couple of days away, just relax and
reconnect?”
“How can we go away right now with everything going on and Tovi being pregnant? There is so much to do yet, and we have only a couple of months before they attack.” I poured myself a
cup of coffee, looking at Nana.
“Bullshit! That is a lame excuse. You two need this before it destroys your relationship with my granddaughter. If that happens, I will get the whip out of the prison and whip your ass from here to kingdom come!” Nana scolded me, wagging her finger at me.
I chuckled a bit. I guess a little getaway won’t hurt. “Fine, Nana, you won. We have a beach house in Hawaii. I will take her there for a couple of days. I will have Jack, Jason; and dad handle everything here. Everything has been planned and is in the process of being put together. I will make arrangements for us to go to Hawaii, and we will leave in a couple of days, once the children have been rescued and brought here. Now, excuse me, I need to call Carter and let him know that he will be getting some guests for a couple of months until the
battle is over and Paul is dead.”
