I settled into my car after lying her down in the back seat. I drove with speed to the pack house. I couldn’t go to the hospital when they knew linde to nothing about werewolw

I rushed out of the car, pulling the door back open and scooping her into my arms. I ran down the hall frantically, ignoring the weird wares the pack members gave me.

Thicked the park hospital door opened, placing Aurora into an empty bed.

“Alpha Kaiden, what brings- The pack doctor began, but I cut him off quickly.

“Treat my mate now!” I growled angrily, watching the way his body vibrated in fear.

“Yes, Alpha.” He responded with a shaky voice, rushing over to Aurora’s bed space.

The room fell silent as he slowly turned his attention to Aurora.

He shook his head, trying to get a pulse but all seemed futile. “I’m afraid she’s-”

“You’re afraid what? Nothing is fucking wrong with Aurora!” I roared, my voice echoing through the quiet room.

“She’s not breathing, Alpha. He argued with a pitiful look on his face, pity for Aurora.

I could read the judgmental stare on his face. He was probably cursing me for killing my mate again. But I knew Aurora was line, Aurora will be fine!

I stormeil out of the room in anger marching towards Derek’s room. I banged on the door hard, taping my feet impatiently as I waited for him to open the door.

“Kaiden?” Byker voice rang out in surprise as the room tore up.

1 glared at him in question. “What the fuck are you doing in Derek’s room?” I spat out harshly, my eyes falling on the figure lying on his bed–Ariel.

This is my room, Kaiden” He said as a matter of fact. “Is something wrong?” He asked in worry.

I turned my attention back to him, ignoring Ariel. Ryker knew I already saw her inside his room, but they were the least of my troubles now.

“Bring Derek to the hospital now!” I barked in my alpha tone, turning on my heels without waiting for a response.

I walked back to the pack hospital to find the doctor still examining her for signs of life.

“Stop touching my mate if you have no solution.” I snapped causing him to freeze. Slowly he backed away from her, standing awkwardly by the side.

My eyes burned to his face, drawing a stool close by and sitting on it. I held unto Aurora’s hands, sending a silent prayer to the Moon goddess to preserve her life. Her hands were colder than usual, but I ignored the meaning behind it.

Aurora is fine.

The door creaked opened, Ryker and Derek stormed into the room with urgency. They approached me skeptically, with confusion on their faces.

“What’s wrong, Kaiden?” Ryker asked, before his eyes fell on Aurora’s body lying half dead in the bed.

“Rory?” He uttered in surprise, his eyes crinkling

“Treat her, Derek I ordered, ignoring the questions on their faces. I slowly stood up from the stool to allow him work on her. Derek moved closer, collecting the stethoscope from the pack doctor.

“What happened to her?” Ryker pestered from the side with concern etched on his face as he stared at her.

“I happened to her, Ryker.” I said in a low tone, guilt trapping me. “I tried to mate her and I lost control.” I explained,exhaling hard.

“You what?” He said in disbelief, staring at me with disappointment. “You know what happens when you try to mate and you still went ahead with it?” He scolded bitterly.

“You think I don’t regret my actions already, Ryker?” I chuckled bitterly, my heart squeezing from anger. Anger at myself.

His eyes softened slightly, “I know it’s hard for you staying celibate for so long and I shouldn’t have said that.” He gave me an apologetic look.

“You’re right, Ryker. I shouldn’t have gone ahead with it. I don’t know what possessed me.” I laughed in pain, rubbing my forehead

“I’m sure she’ll be fine.” He assured, placing a hand on shoulder to comfort me, but he wasn’t convinced by his own words. “She’s dead, Alpha.” Derek’s words hung in the air. The room fell silent with tension as their eyes studied me.

They were waiting for my action, waiting for me to turn into beast and attack them but I couldn’t. I felt numb, and empty. I shook my head in denial inching closer to her. “You’re lying to me.” I said angrily, refusing to accept his judgement “Kaiden.” Ryker said with worry, standing behind me. I ignored his words, sitting on the stool.

“Please wake up. Aurora.” I whispered against her lips, pulling back slowly.

I waited patiently for a reaction but nothing. Her body remained still.

“Moon goddess, don’t let her die.” I choked back the tears. I couldn’t remember the last time I cried in my life, and I though I was incapable of tears until now.

“I’m sorry, Kaiden.” Ryker said in a sad voice. Derek and the pack doctor offered their own apologies

“She’s not die.” I argued in a pained tone but thy didn’t believe me.

Then something happened.

A finger moved against my hand, and it felt almost imaginary until I saw her wound closing up slowly. My face widened in a smile, Thank you Moon goddess.

“How can she possibly..” Ryker trailed off with disbelief in his tone. He saw what happened his now, they all did. The shock on their fates said so

“I don’t know how too, Ryker.” I muttered as I heard her faint heart beat. “All that matters is that she’s alive
