I inhaled sharply, my eyes handened as I stared into space. I lost control again, I almost sank my length deep inside her. I shouldn’t have agreed to her touching me. I shouldn’t have continuously try to test my limits around her.

What if Ryker hadn’t called? Maybe she would have been dead by now. My eyes darkened from the thought of it

Shadow was growling from inside, he wanted to take control, just like he did earlier on. He was eager to have her, just like 1 was but I was sensible while he wasn’t. All he wanted was to bury himself inside her in the most aggressive manner possible.

I turned my head to the creaking of the door, watching Aurora slowly tiptoe her way out from my room.

Her eyes meet with mine, and for a second I could sense the fear. She was back to being scared of me, but it slowly vanished replaced by the curiosity on her face..

She approached me slowly, leaning on my desk, a little bit farther from me like she was scared of getting too close

“Are you okay?” I asked sofily, studying her features. She gave me a curt nod, but it was clear her mind was elsewhere.

“I’m sorry, love.” I said softly in sincere tone, reaching for her, and pulling her into my lap.

“It’s fine. I shouldn’t have pushed you too hard.” She whispered, with a sulky look on her face.

“Is that why you lied to me about having erectile dysfunction?” She blurted out, her green eyes meeting mine.

“Should I have told you I was aggressive in bed instead?” I asked, the corner of my lips curving into a smile.

“Yes, you should have, Kaiden. I wouldn’t have spent nights wondering if you found me unattractive.” She scolded with a

sullen face.

“You’re beautiful, love.” I complimented, brushing my fingers on her face. It was a relief she didn’t suppose anything off about my behavior earlier.

“Are you usually like that?” She drawled out, “do you always threaten your sex partner with death?” 

My lips twitched, “I’m sorry for threatening you, love.”

I had apologized to Aurora more times than I have ever done in my life. No, I hadn’t ever apologized to anyone since 1 became alpha.

“I’m not mad. I was scared…” she trailed off, “I was scared you were really going to kill me. She confessed

“I didn’t know you saw me as a murder.” I remarked pretending to be hurt by her words.

“I know you aren’t a murderer. But at the moment, you looked scary.” She drawled off before adding “And sexy:”

I chuckled, feeling pleased with her compliments, “So I was sexily scary?” I teased, wiggling my brows.

Her eyes roamed around the office, standing from my laps. “Your office is lovely” She complimented, and I amded but it didn’t reach my eyes

There was nothing lovely about my office. It was more of a torture house than it was of an actual office.

“What is this?” She asked. I spon my chair around, my eyes staring at the rope in her hand. The same rope I had used to the up that bastard Owen

“It’s a rope of course.” I replied nonchalantly. I stood from my chair, snatching the ropes out of her hand, while scanning the floor for any sign of blood.

“I know it’s a rope, but what exactly is a tope doing in your office?” She said suspiciously.

“In case of emergency” I responded smoothly, folding the rope.

“Emergency? What sort of emergency?” Her brows drew together in confusion.

“Fire outbreak.” I replied curtly, tossing it aside. She didn’t believe my words but choose to accept it regardless,

“And that?” She pointed behind me. I archer my head slightly, to see her pointing at the stretcher I used in torturing some ignorant fools.

“You ask so much irrelevant questions.” I stated in a harsh tone, pulling her back to the chair.

“Ask something more important.” I growled out in annoyance.

“What were your parents like!” She quipped taking me by surprise. When I meant ask something important, I didn’t mean my parents because they weren’t important to me anymore.

“They were good.” I said briefly. My parents were lovely people, but 1 didn’t fancy them. I hated them for bringing me to this world when they knew they had such ridiculous curse hanging over their heads.

“What else?” She pressed for more answers, her eyes blinking in curiosity.

“What more do you want to hear?” I shot back harshly. I couldn’t really speak much about my parents when I wasn’t close to thein in the past.

“Do you have any other family?” She asked, noticing my reluctance in speaking about my parents.

“Yes.” I said shortly, with a small smile on face.

“Really? Your cousin or an aunt or uncle?” She guessed with a spark in her eyes.

“I had a sister.”

“Had?” She asked, already guessing my reason, “She’s dead too?” She had a sad expression on her face.

“Yes, love.” I confirmed with a subtle nod, pulling her closer to me.

“What was her name?” She whispered in a low tone. I noticed how curious Aurora had become about my life after visiting the pack house.

“Keira” I responded. Keira was Ryker’s mate when she was still alive.

“What happened to her? Did she also die in a car accident like your parents?” She questioned eagerly. I lied to her that my parents died from a car accident, because it happened to be the most common cause of death.

“That’s a story for another day.” I said dismissively.

I hadn’t expected Kaiden to react like that after I expose Aurora’s existence to everyone, neither had I expected him inform the park about her relevance to him, and even discrediting me as his Luna
