Chapter 317 If You Have Real Evidence, Show It

Renee shot Sally a mocking look, her tone ice-cold. “I’ll give you one last chance, Sally. Will you confess, or should I lay out the evidence myself?”

Panic flickered in Sally’s eyes, but then she reasoned-if Renee truly had proof, she would have used it already.

Besides, whether she admitted it or not, the outcome would be the same. She’d be ruined either way. So why not deny it to the end?

“Renee, I know you’ve never liked me. But are you really going this far to frame me?” Sally’s voice was sharp with desperation as she jabbed a finger toward Stetson. “And him! Is he working with you? Did you two plan this together to ruin me? Nixon, you have to believe me!”

Renee let out a cold laugh. “Habl

I was actually willing to let you keep some dignity. If you had just confessed, I wouldn’t have needed to show the video publicly. But since you insist on playing innocent, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”

“You stupid bitch-” Stetson snapped, his voice thick with fury. Despite his bound feet, he managed to shove himself upright and lunged straight at

Renee.

Renee had never been particularly close to Stetson, but Nixon stood between them now. If he had even a sliver of fatherly instinct, he would have stepped in. But he didn’t. Instead, he took a step back, putting

distance between himself and the confrontation.

She spared him a glance—not out of disappointment. She had long since stopped expecting anything from him. Even when her grandfather was alive, Nixon’s so-called fatherly love had been nothing more than a

performance.

Some fathers simply didn’t love their children. Nixon was one of them.

But Stetson? Renee didn’t even see him as a threat. She didn’t flinch when he swung at her. Instead, she waited—calm, calculating—then moved with practiced ease, catching his arm and locking him in place.

“What was that?” she murmured, her tone mocking. “What did you just

call me?”

Stetson refused to accept that Renee had overpowered him. He convinced himself it was only because she’d caught him off guard. There was no way she was actually stronger than him.

Gritting his teeth, he fought against her grip with everything he had, but it was like iron-unyielding, immovable. No matter how much force he used,

he couldn’t break free.

Fury flared in his eyes. If he couldn’t overpower her, he’d humiliate her instead. “I called you a stupid bitch, so what? Spare your fucking—”

A sharp slap cut him off. Renee’s hand snapped across his mouth, silencing

him in an instant.

Disgusted, Renee snatched a tissue from the coffee table and wiped her hand, as if merely touching him had tainted her.

Stetson, livid, opened his mouth to curse again. “Fuck—”

Her slap cut him off faster this time.

Then came another. And another. A sharp, unrelenting rhythm of strikes.

By the time his face went numb, swelling with each blow, realization finally

sank in-Renee wasn’t just strong. She was ruthless.

“Renee, what are you doing?” Sally finally snapped out of it, unable to bear it any longer.

Nixon turned to her, and she quickly added, trying to mask her panic, “Stop this performance. We all know he’s with your. Even if you beat him to death right here, it won’t prove I have anything to do with him! Nixon, tell

her!”

Nixon sighed, looking at Renee. “If you have real evidence, show it. Otherwise, quit making a scene here.”
